Employees of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino underwent a Bomb Detection Training by the Armed Forces of the Philippines last Sept. 13 to 14.
A part of the hotel’s effort to increase awareness and heighten security, the training was able to equip the employees with the basic knowledge on the different kinds of improvised explosive devices or bombs. The training also highlighted the different methods in which bombs are concealed and the measures to take once these are detected.
Waterfront Cebu security department head John L. Pamposa emphasized that this training is important especially after the recent bombing in Davao and that awareness regarding this matter must not escape anyone.
“The security of the hotel does not only concern one department. Security is the responsibility of everyone and we must all work together to ensure the safety of our guests,” Pamposa said.
Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino is one of the well-known landmarks in the City of Cebu and is the premier venue for events and conventions in the country. Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino is located on Salinas Drive, Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.
